I started wearing a baseball cap in 2020.
Like a lot of people, I think I went a bit mad during lockdown?
I started just wearing a baseball cap.
All the time.
I started wearing a cap all the time to deal with my overgrown hair.
When I eventually buzzed it short, the habit stuck.
Then afterwards, it became superstition.
(I started wearing it when the Dodgers were down 3-1 to the Braves, and they won 3 in a row afterwards) and the fact I couldn’t get a haircut easily.
When the Dodgers won the world series that year, first thing I did was buy 3 more baseball caps

As we eased out of lockdown, I kept wearing it as a bit of a good luck charm and mostly out of habit.
I completely forget about it?
One time a doctor asked me if the reason I didn’t take it off indoors was because I’d had a head injury. Which was a bit wild to me…
But I forget some people feel strongly about hats indoors.
Like Tony Soprano…
Regardless, it’s a comfort thing for me now, and I’ve stocked up on many, many, many caps at this point.
And it’s a flywheel problem, as people often gift me caps since they know I like them!
So my office is now full of them, and cap storage methods
